A little bit about Kooba Radio

Kooba radio

Kooba Radio is a UK based non-profit PRS licenced music podcast featuring unsigned bands.

Kooba Radio was broadcasting unsigned bands when myspace was just a twinkle in Rupert Murdoch's eye and it's still going strong.

Established in 2002, Kooba Radio aims to give exposure to the vast number of unsigned bands and artists who have been overlooked by traditional record companies. A while back Kooba Radio was named as "Podcast of the week" by Timeout Magazine.

Kooba Radio is based in South East London and puts on sporadic show case gigs at Lewisham's much loved Fox and Firkin. See the gigs section for information on upcoming events.

Over the years Kooba Radio has been proud to give airplay to...

Nathan Persad, CHET, Special Benny, Mumrah/The Display Team, Clare Portman, The Special Relationship, TV For Dogs, Betika, Aluminum Babe, Cunt Aunt Cunt Ant, Emmy The Great, Bloc Party, MJ Hibbett, Ten Foot Nun, Phil Dodd, The Lovely Brothers, Darlings of the Split Screen, Their Hearts Were Full of Spring, Jeremy Warmsley, God Love You For A Liar, The Young Wearwolves, The Rakes, Starchamber, Lights Go Blue, Lets Wrestle, The Anomalies, Blabbermouth, The Fore, Daddy Long Legs, Seven Sided Star, Big Girl's Blouse, William, Popular Workshop, Blind Jackson, The Great Kat and many more.
