From: Dundee
Sounds Like: Highly accomplished folk rock
Anderson, McGinty, Webster, Ward & Fisher, or AMWWF for short (we are pronouncing it Amwoof) are a Dundee’s premier folk super group. The quintet formed following the demise of much loved Dundonian indie bands such as Luva Anna, The Law and Magdalen Green, with refugees from each group pooling their talents as AMWWF.
As the unwieldy band name would suggest the spotlight flits from one multi instrumentalist member to the next as each ones takes a turn fronting the band and playing the songs they have penned, while the rest of the band backs them up with nonchalant creative versatility. Each of the five personalities are evident on their debut self titled album but it hangs together as a cohesive whole too. We were lucky enough to catch them in London when they supported Glasgow’s Kassidy on tour and we were mightily impressed. That’s why they are Kooba Radio’s band of the month for June.

We are spoiled rotten here in Dundee as some of the boys play in local establishments every week allowing us to enjoy them while we can. As individuals boys are great musicians .Together they are amazing!
Good luck AMWWF. X
Absolute stars, good luck lads

My favourite band ever especially Gavin
love these guys live epic
A great band with a great sound. The lads are all down to earth and great to sit and have a pint and a blether with.
Dundee’s finest……beyond doubt. They deserve to be on mainstream TV and Radio.
All the best lads : )
