Alex Malloy
Alex "The Boy" Malloy started Kooba Radio with Jonny in 2002. The first show went out at Christmas of that year and Alex remained Jonny's side-kick for a further 4 years until their run of shows ended in January 2007.
The Boy Malloy has stayed on at Kooba to maintain this bright green web site, which he made with the help of those nice lads at Redwire Design.
And just for fun, here are two possible origin stories of Kooba Radio:
Version 1
Alex and Jonny met at a TV For Dogs gig at the Amersham Arms. They discussed the comics character Wolverine in some detail before the conversation turned to music. Inspired by the tunes of Neil and the other Dogs, they hatched a scheme to develop an online radio station based around Jonny’s talent for spouting endless rubbish and Alex’s ability to make web pages.
Version 2
Internet millionaire Alex Malloy discovered a feral but witty young man living inside a bag on the Chiltonian industrial estate in Lee, London. This man was Jonny Yeah. Having always been a kind hearted man Alex decided to make Jonny the lead presenter on his new radio station.
