Jonny Yeah
Many people have contributed to Kooba over the years but without a doubt the most important and influential person to work on the station was Mr Jonathan Yes.
Jonny and Alex broadcast The Jonny Yeah Show from Jonny’s house once a week for 4 whole years. Kooba was Jonny’s vision and his hard work made the whole thing possible.
People tuned in for 2 reasons: to hear the frankly staggering amount of amazing unsigned bands and to hear Jonny himself. His rantings, jokes, features, games and interviews were heard by hundreds of people around the world each week.
In 2007 Jonny decided to take a break for a while but he left Kooba Radio in the capable hands of Myles Bartoli who’s shows go out once a month.
What does the future hold for Mr Yes? Will he be able to stay away from the limelight? Will his voice return to the airwaves again? Only time will tell..
Actually, since this profile was written, Mr Yes is back on the scene like a... well... you know. The All New Jonny Yeah Show will be hitting the airwaves in July.
